Before I became the exclusive dogBar® licensee on January 1st, 2018, I ran my dog shop "Feine Dame" in Münster for 12 years and during this time I learned a lot about dogs and owners and the needs of both.
The market has changed enormously since 2006, and for the better: sustainability and product origin are playing an increasingly important role for customers. For this reason, in consultation with the product designer Jiri MR Katter, I brought the production of the dogBar® from Switzerland to Germany .
In addition, I have responded to customer requests and had porcelain bowls made; there are many dogs who do not want to eat or drink from stainless steel. With Porzellanmanufaktur Reichenbach I have found a partner who, as a member of the Verein Deutscher Manufakturen eV, lives a similar philosophy of sustainability with qualified manual work and carefully selected raw materials.
And in addition to the "simple idea" of adding porcelain to the range, the dogBar® has also become a wonderful and aesthetic product that is also 100% made in Germany!
The porcelain bowls for our four-legged friends are now available in all sizes: S for the dogBars® S and S large, M for the dogBars® M small and M and of course the bowls in L for the dogBars® L. We also offer the Personalization of bowls: the porcelain painters at the Reichenbach manufactory paint icons or names by hand on the bowls, which are then fired again and of course remain dishwasher-safe.
It is important that our bowls are really made of porcelain, which is much more robust and valuable than ceramic.
Our customers now buy porcelain and stainless steel bowls in equal proportions with their dogBars®. What was initially our idea for lovers of high-quality materials has developed into a new dog bowl design classic that is in great demand. And many customers report that their customers drink more water from the porcelain bowls: win-win for dog and owner!
